I needed the older version with this skillet. It was half the cost but only came with one skillet. I adored it. The nonstick coating was practically indestructible. I employed metal utensils inside it on a regular basis and by no means got a great deal as the scratch. Well, I started to be so confident in the strength of the coating that i used the steak chef’s knife to reduce a steak in half while it was in the actual pan to determine if it was done. It wasn’t knife evidence. I guess I possibly could have merely ordered an alternative pan through Zojirushi, but I made a decision to buy this particular EP-RAC50 instead. It’s better than the outdated one was. It’s slightly bigger, a tiny nicer looking. But I really like having both pans. I can brown beef for spaghetti within the grill skillet, and then boil noodles within the other. I don’t even use the range top any longer. You need not worry about pans being dedicated to the burner or even sitting toned. Plus you might have much a lot more precise control within the temperature. It heats really evenly as well as the thermostat appears to be very precise. I furthermore like the truth that the nonstick coating isn’t Teflon, which will be carcinogenic. And it’s a lot more durable than Teflon. I don’t need to use essential oil or butter because nothing stays. Not also eggs. It baby wipes clean having a dry papers towel! Another great thing is that you can remove the actual pan in the base therefore there’s less possibility of burning your food when it is done cooking unlike with some cheaper skillets the location where the pan and heating element are 1 unit. If this particular skillet breaks or cracks, I’ll buy another one. It’s worth it. Read more
