Buyer Review is From tc-l32u3 : wished, if possible, to get a display device to be both a HD tv and a great monitor. this may satisfy the wish to possess both in an exceedingly small study. i am a dedicated photographer using terribly high resolutions with high finish Nikon cameras. also do HD video (1080p & AVCHD) additionally. needed to get a display to handle editing for both. positively wished a monitor with an IPS panel to help with excellent color, better viewing angles, etc. looked at the LG’s (hit or miss IPS panel in a number of the 32-inch), Samsung’s (not an ISP panel), etc., as well. visited many local AV stores in the local area and was ready to see many of the models i used to be curious about. Hands down this Panasonic was the standout of the 32 inchers! made the purchase many days later and connected everything up yesterday. All connections were as straightforward as could be. On HDMI1, I connected the Comcast HD cable box. glorious image right at the start (after going into the picture menu and turning the C.A.T.S to the “OFF” position). Color, sharpness, brightness, contrast, etc., were fantastic. At now, have no reason to regulate this input. Now, for the pc half. Powered down all devices, then connected my HP HPE 390t with the one.8GB nVidia Geforce GTX 260 video card with an HDMI out to the HDMI2 input on the Panasonic. Powered both TV and HP pc duplicate. WOW…as the pc began to load, the color, fidelity, etc of the windows blue intro screen was fantastic as was the HDTV portion after I 1st turned on the cable. after logging in, my screen background photo (photo of wife and i in front of a glacier and mountain in Alaska) just blew me away. No other monitor I even have had (and its been several) since 2008 (date of our trip and photo), was ready to display it thus well. currently comes the vital half. This TC-L32U3 does handel the laptop terribly, very well, but a couple of minor changes needed to be made: 1)the pc displayed the background larger than the TV screen size. NO problem. Went into Windows seven control panel and made certain the video card was set at 1920 X 1080, the refresh rate at 60Hz, and color depth at 32 bit. ALL was smart there. Next went into the TV’s menu and did the following: using the TV’s remote, I entered the picture mode; scrooled right down to “Aspect adjustments” and hit enter; left the “Screen format” at “Full”, but adjusted the “HD size” to “Size 2-inch. Pure Magic!!! The laptop currently displayed the correct resolution beautifully!!! NO issues. 2.)At the advice of another reviewer, I did knock down the sharpness alittle, but unsure I needed to it, as a result of I saw NO issue with having the ability to browse the text, being already sharp and clear. just keep in mind that this panasonic tc-l32u3 is not a high finish monitor solely, but on this 32-inch, it is excellent. 3.)I also adjusted TV’s “Black level” to “Dark” (just my preference). I currently use these minor changes on both HDMI1 and HDMI2 inputs. I also kept the pictue in “Standard” mode, that I even have rarely done on many past TVs. invariably had to regulate them to get a lot of vibrant color, etc. Not with this set. The “Standard” was exceptional right out of the box (again, you have got to turn the C.A.T.S to off, thus your space lighting is not the changing the brightness on you). have no intention of calibrating at now (I do have a calibrater stored some where). On page thirty eight of the owners-operation manual, Panasonic puts in the disclaimer, “use with a laptop is not assumed”. that’s most likely true in some respects. You apparently have to have compatible equipment. If you are attempting this display, you will not be disappointed. but the PC’s video card must be compatible. glorious display on both my HD cable and laptop inputs.

This Customer Review is From tc-l42u25 : Purchased at the beginning of February 2011. Stopped working June 30 2011. Upon calling Panasonic and going thru their troubleshooting, had to take it to a different State to be serviced underneath warranty (thank God!). it’s August 15 and i am still expecting the half from Panasonic!(power board)My question is: If an influence board from a new TV is back-ordered that long, what number alternative orders for that very same board caused that back-order? I will tell i am a-gonna have bother with panasonic tc-l42u25 within the future, and with Panasonic.

panasonic tc-p46st30 This TV contains a sensible picture. The black levels are deep and the whites bright. It does however have a glossy screen which might cause reflections on the screen in a very brightly lit room. additionally while most blurays look sensible on this tv it does have issues with terribly dark scenes. as an example in the Harry Potter movies the screen usually turns thus dark that you just can’t see what is happening in the scene. i believe that this drawback is caused by the actual fact that this is a LCD TV instead of poor craftsmanship on the part of Panasonic. this is a small drawback because the vast majority of blurays look sensible even in dark scenes. Overall this is a very nice TV however, if you’re probing for nice shadow detail spend a number of dollars additional and acquire a plasma.

panasonic tc-l32x30 Price an important downside with this tv for anyone who is a significant dlna user, is this tv cannot handle as many file varieties as samsung dlna (does handle mkv, however), and it does not playback 1080p okay using dlna. also, it does not decode 5.1, though it’d taste via optical out if you hook it up to a receiver (which is unlikely on a collection this small). that was my main gripe. apart from that, image quality is nothing fancy; its tolerable. its only redeeming quality is it being a smart tv with netflix amazon vdo rare for this size price; netflix isn’t search able, BTW. haven tried games on it, so cant treat input lag, but i’ve heard good items concerning alternative panasonic tvs with ips alpha panels. despite the huge Dlna flaws, a reasonably negotiate considering the other options.

tc-p50s30. This tv works great. It is the first big screen I’ve ever had, but it does everything it is supposed to. Friends are amazed at the price, quality, and although I thought it produced lots of heat, it apparently is much less than previous ones. Amazon’s service and shipping were excellent.
